Spicy Chips And Fries To Prepare At Home
Spicy Chips are always a favorite of anyone and are an item for every occasion. There are various kinds of chips available in the market. You can also cook these easily at home. The spicy chips are perfect for your house party. Homemade potato chips are easy to fry, and you can serve it as snacks or appetizers.
Home Made Potato Spicy Chips
Five big potatoes
Two quarts peanut or vegetable oil for frying
One teaspoonful Chili powder (for flavor)
One teaspoonful black pepper powder (for flavor)
Two teaspoons paprika
One teaspoon thyme (dried)
One tablespoon brown sugar
One tablespoon kosher salt
Firstly, wash the potatoes properly so that no muds are sticking on it. Peel the potatoes and rewash it. Take a knife and slice paper-thin pieces of vegetables. However, do not put the sliced potatoes in the oil right after slicing it.
The potatoes will stick together due to its starch. Take a big bowl and pour cold water into it. Add two tablespoons of salt in it and rinse the potatoes for thirty minutes. This process will wash the extra starch from the potato slices, and it will not make the slices sticking together at the time of frying.
Next, drain the water from the bowl and put the wet potato slices in a paper towel to make them dry. Ensure that you entirely dry the slices. However, note that the potato slices are moist, the oil will spatter at the time of frying.
Next, preheat the oven at three hundred and fifty degrees. Take a large pot and add two quarts of peanut or vegetable oil. When the oil is ready for frying, put the potato slices in the bowl, and wait until the slices are no longer bubbling. However, it is better to fry the slices for fifteen to twenty minutes to make them crispy. Once the chips are ready, put them in a bowl with a paper towel to drain the oil properly.
Now mix the ingredients properly and keep them in a pot. Season the chips immediately with the pinch of the seasoning. You can server the spicy fries with tomato sauce or mayonnaise.
Spicy Chips: Baked Seasoned Fries
The crispy, smoky, and spicy potato fries are simply delicious for a side dish. Without frying the chips and just baking the potatoes with a smoky taste is fantastic.
Four big potatoes
Olive oil (for spraying)
Two tablespoons of paprika (smoked)
Two teaspoons of garlic powder
One teaspoon salt
One teaspoon Black pepper (grounded)
Firstly, there is no need to peel the potatoes. Cut the potatoes in even size and par-boil the chips for a few minutes. Now, take a baking tray and spray the olive oil and add smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat the oven at two hundred degrees centigrade put the potato chips in the baking tray. Add olive oil seven to eight times and top with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Bake the potato chips for twenty to twenty-five minutes and turn the chips. After setting the chips to bake for another twenty minutes or more for making the potato chips crispy.
Immediately serve the chips with tomato sauce or any other sauce as preferable.
